High Horse Malibu's FAQ

FAQs About Group Trail Rides

Group trail rides are $175 per person for an hour and a half ride. All group trail rides are kept to a maximum of four riders at a time. You can expect mountain and ocean views on the trail. Our trails are suitable for beginning to advanced riders. All rides are kept at a walking pace.

Age and Weight Restrictions

• Riders must be at least 8 years old to participate in any trail ride.

• We reserve the right to verify age if necessary for safety reasons.

Weight Requirements

To protect our horses and maintain safe riding conditions, we follow strict height-to-weight guidelines:

Riders up to 6'0": Maximum 200 lbs

Riders 6’0” and above: Maximum 230 lbs

These limits are based on industry safety standards and the individual build and comfort of our horses. Guests who do not meet the requirements above will not be permitted to ride, and no refunds will be issued for riders who exceed weight limits at check-in.

Physical & Mental Rider Requirements

For your safety and the safety of our horses:

• Any physical or mental disability that may affect your ability to safely mount, ride, or control a horse **must be disclosed prior to booking.

• This allows us to evaluate whether we can safely accommodate your needs.

• Failure to disclose relevant information in advance may result in being denied the ride without a refund.

Thank You for Your Cooperation

Should I Tip My Guide?

Our trail guides are highly trained professionals who are dedicated to creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience for every rider. They not only ensure your comfort and safety on the trail, they also take the time to capture photos and special moments along the ride so you can remember your experience long after you leave the ranch.

While never required, gratuity is greatly appreciated. Tips are a meaningful way to recognize your guide’s skill, care, and the extra effort they put into making your ride enjoyable.

If you had a great experience, we encourage you to show your appreciation with a tip in the amount you feel is appropriate. Our guides truly value it—thank you for supporting their hard work!
